YNKB WINDOW
It all started when we hang up a t-shirt in the window with the text: Boycot Israel, as a reacion to the massacre in Gaza. The day after we recieved a mail saying this was a vulgar and undifferentiated attitude. We answered the mail by saying that the t-shirt in the window also created a discussion in YNKB, not about the boycot, because all of us already did that, but about the t-shirt in an art context. We dont think that it is a vulgar comment, but an aesthertic reaction on what is happening in the world. The exhibition in the window was extended with posters of Palestinian Artists, critical articles and other stuff.The population in Gaza needs international solidarity and that is what YNKB wants to express.
