YNKB (København) og Messhall (Chicago) præsenterer Posters of radiant optimism. We
want to organize this poster series to encourage visibility and
cohesion for today’s optimistic and visionary ideas from artists
and activists for dealing with these problems. The exhibition can

“The Center for Tactical Magic”
Revolutionary Breakthroughs in Extra-Sensory Perception
Engaged in studies as a magician’s apprentice, a ninja’s disciple,
and a private investigator’s observant shadow, Aaron Gach (co-founder
of the Center for Tactical Magic) will offer a unique look at art,
magic, and activism. The presentation traces a brief history of magic
along with its contemporary applications in politics, advertising,
military, religion, and other cultural arenas. Additionally, several
projects from the Center for Tactical Magic, including the Tactical
Ice Cream Unit, the Cricket-Activated Defense System, and experiments
in radical kite-flying, will serve as examples of creative engagement
within society.

et essay af Preben Maegaard: ”Bykulturen ved vejs ende” – omstilling af samfundet til vedvarende energi og bæredygtighed.
Preben Maegaard er forstander ved Nordisk Folkecenter for Vedvarende
Energi, Hurup i Thy.
Udgivelsen er støttet af Kunstrådets Fagudvalg for Billedkunst.
Ved bogreceptionen 4. oktober præsenterer Preben Maegaard og
Finn Thybo Andersen Byvandringer 1968. Rasmus Brink Pedersen præsenterer
sit projekt og hæftet MINIMUSEUM #1 og Billedkunstner Nis Rømer
præsenterer Gåafstand

Who says we went away???
Inauguration of the old DSB railroad area in Copenhagen
Accohannoch Indian Tribe has lived in Maryland, USA for 30.000 years.
Now they have bought back 40 acres of their native land.
YNKB visited Accahannoch Chief Laughing Otter Hal earlier this year
and the Chief gave us a spear.
With this spear, signed by the chief, YNKB inaugurated the old railroad
area at Nørrebro Station in Copenhagen.

Hot Summer of Urban Farming
Hot Summer of Urban Farming Over sommeren har 8 billedkunstnere fra
Danmark og udlandet lavet haver og modifikationer af byrummet på
Ydre Nørrebro. Projekterne udforsker uformel og midlertidig
brug af ubestemte steder i byen.
Hot summer handler om brugen af offentlige rum og muligheden for at
tage del i udformningen af vore nære omgivelser. Udstillingen
elaborerer over de sociale og kulturelle emner omkring havebrug og
landbrug i byen og foreslår en tættere forbindelse mellem
de to. På det metaforiske plan implicerer projektet at offentlige
rum er noget der løbende skal aktiveres og forandres for at
fungere som steder for debat, udveksling og hverdagsliv.

Activism in Baltimore
THE ARCHIVE “ACTIVISM IN BALTIMORE 2005” of activist
interviews by YNKB (DK) in collaboration with Public Globality Gardens
(S)“ was screened at Red Emmas Bookstore Saturday Aug 26 and
donated to Baltimore Indymedia. It will from now on be possible to
study the videos on activism in Baltimore at PAC (Progressive Action
Center, 1443 Gorsuch Ave., Baltimore MD).
